Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Located 176km (100 miles) north of Kampala on the Gulu highway in Nakasongola district, Ziwa Rhino sanctuary is the only place where you will be able to see rhinos in the wild. The sanctuary is a project of Rhino Fund Uganda and Uganda Wildlife Authority with the aim to re-introduce rhinoceros in Uganda’s National Parks by creating a safe environment in which rhinos can be conserved for future generations.
The first six rhinos were trans-located in 2004. Between 2009 ~2014 there were eight new baby rhinos born bringing the number to 15 as of April 2014. Of the nine calves, three are male and six are female, making up a total of six males and nine females on the sanctuary. With fifteen (15) southern white rhinos, the sanctuary has become increasingly popular with tourists for :Guided rhino trekking,Bird watching,Nature walks,Research and Conservation Education,Restaurant and accommodation in the Wild.
MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Murchison Falls NP is located in the western part of Uganda covering 3,480 sq km and is the largest national park of Uganda. Murchison Falls Conservation Area (MFCA) encompasses of Murchison Falls National Park, Bugungu and Karuma Falls Wildlife reserves. The park is split in half by the Victoria Nile. At the Murchison Falls, the Nile River falls over the edge of the western Rift valley and forms the spectacular Murchison falls as it dashes through a narrow crevice before it falls about 40 meters forming a beautiful rainbow. The river banks host crocodiles, waterbucks, hippos and buffaloes.
The park has 450 birds species recorded, and has all the African Big Five (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Giraffe), Hartbeests, Oribi, countless Antelope, Hippos, waterbucks, and chimpanzees. Vegetation is characterized by Savannah and woodland.

Itinerary –
Day 1: Kampala – Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls National Park
Depart Kampala in the early morning and drive northwards for Masindi. Stop over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Trekking. A guided walking safari will take you close to watch the rhinos grazing in the wild. Stop over for Lunch at a selected restaurant en-route. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park driving through the spectacular Budongo Forest – Kania Pabidi area where you expect to see lots of birds and primate species including olive baboons and monkeys. Proceed to check in at your selected lodge arriving in time for supper.
Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park – Game drive – Boat Cruise
After an early breakfast drive through the scenic Northern Route to
the shores of Albert Nile. Explore the Parks amazingly high concentration of game. In search of Lions, expect to see many Giraffes, large herds of buffaloes, Kobs, water bucks, and Elephants. Return to the lodge for relaxation till lunch at your Lodge.
Afternoon, start your amazing boat Launch trip at 2Pm to the bottom of the falls. The three hours boat cruise upstream to the bottom of the falls is amongst the unforgettable experience the park has to offer giving the opportunity to view elephants, schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, lions, and an abundance of bird life including the famous shoebill stork. Return to your Lodge in time for supper.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Top of the Falls – Kampala
Breakfast at the Lodge. Depart with your parked lunch and head to the top of the Murchison Falls. Enjoy the spectacular view of the water.

Depart the National Park for Kampala. Stop over at selected restaurant for Lunch. Drive back to Kampala & drop off at residence or hotel. Arrive in Kampala late evening and you will be dropped at Hotel or place of residence.
