Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by a BIC Tours guide at the airport and transferred to Entebbe Town for a shopping experience at Victoria Mall. Thereafter, you will proceed to Kampala, the vibrant capital city of Uganda. Your city tour will include a visit to the iconic Gaddafi Mosque, where you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Kampala from the mosque tower. You will also visit Makerere University, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in East Africa. After breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer to Sulma Centre in Luwero for an immersive pineapple farming experience. During your visit, you will learn about the entire pineapple growing cycle, from planting and cultivation to harvesting techniques. You will also enjoy the unique art of pineapple hunting and savor the freshest pineapples straight from the garden. You will also explore the pineapple drying process, which produces high-quality products for international markets, including Japan. Afterward, you will enjoy lunch at a selected restaurant in Luwero before returning to Kampala. In the afternoon, you will visit Kampala’s bustling city markets and shopping centers, offering an excellent opportunity to experience local culture. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner at a traditional Ugandan restaurant, where you will sample authentic local cuisine. You will then continue your drive through the famous explosion crater lakes area, known for its dramatic volcanic scenery and breathtaking panoramic views. You will then return to the lodge for lunch (included) before embarking on an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George, renowned for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and diverse birdlife. Later in the evening, you will visit a selected fishing village within the park to experience local community life along the water. In the afternoon, visit a local government primary school participating in Uganda’s Universal Primary Education program to gain insight into community development and rural education. En route, you will visit Kisiizi Falls, a culturally and historically significant site for the indigenous Bakiga people, where you will learn about its heritage and local traditions. Lunch will be served at a selected restaurant in Kabale (included) before proceeding to Lake Bunyonyi, famously known as the “place of many little birds.” In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the lake as you explore some of its 29 scenic islands surrounded by terraced hills. In the evening, dinner will be served at the lodge restaurant (included), followed by an overnight stay at Bunyonyi Safari Resort on a bed and breakfast basis (B/B).
