Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park (1994)

Bwindi is one of the best and few places in Africa where you can track and see Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Rwenzori Mountains National Park (1994)

It comprises the main part of the Rwenzori mountain chain, which includes Africa’s third highest peak at 5109m above sea level. The combination of spectacular snow-capped peaks, glaciers, V-shaped valleys, fast flowing rivers with magnificent waterfalls, clear blue lakes and unique flora contributes to the area’s exceptional natural beauty. The mountains support the richest montane flora in Africa, encompassing the charismatic giant lobelias, groundsels, and giant heathers which have been called “Africa’s botanical big game.”

Cultural

Kasubi Royal Tombs of Buganda (2001) : The Royal tombs of the Buganda kings Mutesa I, Mwanga II, Daudi Chwa II and Mutesa II in a huge tent built out of wood and straw. It is a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO.
