Queen Elizabeth National Park for Incredible Biodiversity, Game Drive, Boat Launch, Equator

Distance & Time Estimates: 435km south west of Kampala (6 hour drive).

Queen Elizabeth National Park has more mammals than any other Ugandan park and a diversity of ecosystems (acacia grasslands, papyrus swamps,
rainforest, and volcanic crater lakes) to thrill any naturalist. The Ishasha sector of the park is home to a famous population of tree-climbing lions.
The 100-metre deep Kyambura River Gorge is the setting for an excellent game walk to see habituated chimpanzees. Queen Elizabeth National Park
is 1,978km² park is bordered to the South West by Lake Edward and to the Northeast by Lake George with the Kazinga Channel connecting the two.
High on a peninsula overlooking the Kazinga Channel between Lakes Edward and George, Mweya Lodge has one of the most beautiful views in Uganda and a feel of true African Wildlife. The lakeside location of the luxury Jacana Safari Lodge is impressive and ideal for visiting all the northern and southern sectors of the park.

BWINDIIMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Bwindi is 331 square kilometers and is located in South Western Uganda, on the edge of the western rift valley, shared by Kabale, Rukungiri and Kisoro Districts. It lies on an altitude range of 2607m (Rwamunyonyi peak)-1160m (Ishasha gorge).

Annual Temperature ranges from 7-20 degrees Celsius. Usually it’s cold during June- July rains heavily in March-April and September-November. The local people in this area are mainly Bakiga and Bafumbira, representing the most impenetrable settlements in Uganda, (233 people/ square kilometers).

Overview

A morning game drive in Kasenyi sector combined with a close up boat cruise on Kazinga Channel provide you the best chance to spot the 4 of the big 5 including the pride of Lion hunting antelopes especially Uganda Kobs, Elephants crossing game drive trucks, a large herds of,Buffalos and the elusive leopard. You will also see large concentration of Hippos relaxing with buffalos and a variety of bird species on your .boat cruise on Kazinga channel.

Day 1: Kampala – Equator Water Experiment – Bwindi National Park KISORO SIDE

Early Breakfast at Hotel.
Depart Kampala for Bwindi National Park Via Masaka, Mbarara & Kabale.
Stop over at the Equator for Water Experiment (Certificate Included).
Visit the cattle keepers farm to see and learn about the Gorgeous Ankole cow Culture .
Lunch at Selected Restaurant in Mbarara (Included).
Proceed to Bwindi Buhoma arriving at around 6:00pm.
Relax at Hotel (Included).
Night Accommodation at Kitandara Tented Camp/ Buhoma Community Rest Camp (F/B)

Day 2: Bwindi National Park- Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth.
